Everything in life happens for a reason and whilst the reason for your adversity may be baffling, frustrating and at times heartbreaking, it is given to you as a gift.

Now that may seem a little hard to believe at the moment as you are going through an extremely hard time. However, think back to the hard times that you have endured over the years. They might not have been easy and they might still be classed as heartbreaking, but what did they teach you? Adversity teaches us many things and in that way it can be a unique gift.
Taking Advantage of Your Adversity
In everything that we do we have choices. For example in a morning when our alarm clock goes off we can choose to switch it off and go back to sleep or listen to it and get up. We can choose whether we want cereals for breakfast or pancakes. We can choose whether to work as a hairdresser or a banker.
Most of the time we allow our adversity to affect us in a negative way. It is easy to do, after all adversity no matter what type it is, is a negative thing and it aims to throw us completely off balance. However we can use our adversity as a positive thing.
An example of using our adversity as a positive thing could be in the case of a financial struggle. If you have loans which have been building up or if you have simply just been struggling for a while and it is getting too much; instead of worrying and seeing only negatives, turn it into a positive.
Sometimes adversity creeps up and gives you warning before it strikes completely. However most people do not do anything about their situation unless they are forced to. So that is when adversity strikes and you should look at it as a chance to change.
Overall adversity affects us in so many ways and often it is hard to see the positive in it, especially at the time! However if you do think back to adversity which ahs previously occurred in your life you will see that once you did overcome it, it made you stronger.
