It’s hard to find time – or energy – for sex when you’re herding children and pets, weaving through traffic, fighting through long days at work and, even at home, a slave to grass-stained clothes and dirty dishes.

But a dead sex life can suck life out of a relationship, too, sex therapists say. It’s more than just the physical act. A low libido might be a symptom of underlying relationship or health problems, experts say.
Foote considers sex an instinct that can get blocked with resentment, betrayals, bitterness and other kinds of out-of-the-bedroom conflicts. Sexual energy is natural and present, until it gets blocked, she says.
But sex-perts agree one simple solution can extinguish most of the problems: the “c” word – communication.
