Did we do something that demands such penance? But if you must, please show some balance! While no right-thinking persons could approve of the Senate's deeds here, still less could they approve of MoveOn's repellent ad which caused all the trouble in the first place. Why was there no outraged word from you on that? (I wasn't expecting any from the Young Turks, but you're different; you merit some respect). The Democratic candidates could easily have defused the matter by issuing a general condemnation of the vile screed. Even Kerry, who ordinarily shows such contempt for those intellectual sluggards stuck in Iraq, had the character to do so.
