Yes, I am one of those blokes who read the articles (and look at the eye-candy).

Most of this information in the article is true, however those people who are having sex 4 or more times per week, and also feel much younger than other people their age - well, that 'feeling younger' is probably not an effect of their having all that sex, as much as it is a result of them being healthier people with good high levels of the hormones that make us feel sexual, and make us sexually potent.

Healthy people, most especially those in good physical condition who exercise, tend to have a stronger sexual appetite because exercise (especially the kind that builds muscle) increases the hormones that make us want to have sex.

Modern pollution is very bad for peoples sex lives, and we are all dripping with the stuff. Most chemicals used in farming (and they are therefor in our food and water supply) make men sterile. A great deal of our modern pollution looks like oestrogen to the bodies of both men and women. When it interacts with the body it tends to block up the bodies hormone receptor sites. Then there are also the problems caused by the fact that "the pill" (as with all other medication) has about 90% of it wash out in the urine...and that urine goes into the water table (the rivers and oceans) and feminise the male fish, and the females are swimmin gin 'the pill'. Then that same ocean water gets pulled up into the air by warm ocean currents, and then it rains on us all...birth control falling from the sky, along with prozac, zoloft, AZT, etc.

Now unlike natural oestrogen, which flushes out of the body easily, xenoestrogens (especially those not from nature but from human created pollution) can bond in ways that do not flush out of us easily. They hang on to the hormone receptor sites for longer (not being shaped exactly the same way as the 'real deal'). So pollution, and pesticides in our food and water (and on our lawns and gardens) can really mess up our sex lives (and our general health), tipping the scales of our hormone balance away from the androgen hormones (testosterone, progesterone, etc) and over to oestrogen.

Without a high enough androgen level, men get fat, irritable, tired, forgetful & often lose interest in sex (most men in the 1st world are technically sterile from pollution). This is supposed to happen as people get into old age, but these days many men in their early 30s have the testosterone levels of men in their 90s. Androgens (which are heavily disrupted by the oestrogen 'look alike' pollution that we are all surround by in 1st world nations), are lower in people in ther 1st world, than in the poor parts of the world.

You need testosterone (be you male or female) to have much of a sex drive. In the first world more and more men and women are on testosterone supplements to try and make up for the damage we have done to the environment.
