Robert Downey Jr. says he and ‘Iron Man 2′ director Jon Favreau were delighted to sign Scarlett Johansson up for the film but insist she was cast for more than just her looks.

The 25-year-old actress plays sexy Russian spy Black Widow in the superhero movie but her co-star Robert Downey Jr. – who plays the titular character and his alter-ego Tony Stark – insists he and director Jon Favreau didn’t just want her to eye candy.

Robert said: “We were thrilled to get Scarlett and we said to her, ‘You’re not going to be some kind of Marvel spin-off story thing because we want a hot chick kicking a*s in this movie.’ And I think we managed that.” Continue reading ›

Many journalists have labeled Megan Fox the next Angelina Jolie; we just think she’s damn sexy. Sexy Kitty Megan Fox Loves To Lick Herself At Comic Con 2009

It was fanboy madness in the US yesterday when the annual Comic-Con International convention was staged in San Diego, with 125,000 comic book devotees coming face-to-face with star hotties such as Scarlett Johansson and Cameron Diaz.

A little more than a decade ago, the Hollywood movie studios sniffed out the potential of Comic-Con to create buzz for their sci-fi and action movies.

If the geeks aren’t impressed by a studio’s new $246 million (Australian) sci-fi film, it will be beaten up by blogs so badly during Comic-Con that when it eventually lands in theaters it is dead on arrival.

“It is the Cannes Film Festival for fans,” said Hollywood super producer Joel Silver, who with Robert Downey Jr and Rachel McAdams, showed clips and held a panel discussion for their new film, Sherlock Holmes, in front of 6000 Comic-Con fans on Friday.

“It is a place to go for genre and commercial fare.
